Human Rights Strategy and Policy
Analyze the clients’ human rights impact with regard to the United Nations treaty system, bilateral and regional treaty standards, OECD guidelines, and industry-led initiatives.
Build comprehensive human rights strategy plan extending through all levels of the supply chain.
Human Rights Risk Assessments
Develop Human Rights Risk Assessment reports to provide companies with in-depth analysis of sensitive human rights issues in the countries where they operate.
Provide recommendations on preventing and mitigating complicity in human rights violations, as well as applicable legal protections and human rights standards.
Human Rights Reporting
Use agreed upon and developed tools to assist companies in their disclosures, including reporting on social and human rights issues.
Development of Industry-Led, and International and Domestic Legal Standards and Codes on Human Rights
Help industry coalitions, corporations and NGO groups to comment or propose draft codes or legislation.
Provide analysis of existing codes to highlight weaknesses that leave human rights subject to abuse.
Domestic and International Legislative Guidance
Monitor, analyze and report on a range of political, government and policy issues affecting human rights.
Authorship of Amicus Curae briefs on State and Federal Supreme Court decisions involving United Nations international human rights treaty law or any relevant domestic law falling within the sphere of a business activity affecting human rights, including labor issues, environmental justice issues, and privacy.
United Nations Advocacy
Create articulate and reasoned advocacy strategy at international bodies, including the United Nations Human Rights Council, as well as in international meetings pertaining to our industry areas.
Author and deliver oral and written submissions to Working Groups, Special Representatives or during Thematic Procedures.
Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives and Consultations
Build coalitions with key government, business, consumer and other organizations that support our clients’ policy positions. These coalition-building activities include those at the highest level of government, business and media to very targeted grassroots activities with consumers, analysts, special interests and other audiences.
